East Anglia Regional Group
East Anglia Regional Group includes members in Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.
We set up our regional group in 2013 and (with the necessary breaks during lockdowns) have had monthly walks since then.
Walks are on the second Sunday of each month (5–10 miles). Each summer we also do evening walks, usually alternate weeks and generally 3–5 miles with a pub visit included.
- Monthly Sunday walks (5–10 miles)
- Summer evening walks (3–5 miles, often with a pub)
- At least one regional trip each year
- Members join national trips to Scotland, Wales, Cumbria and elsewhere
- Activities from Norfolk Broads strolls to winter Munros
- Socials: barbecues, Christmas lunches
Most of our members are in or near Norwich so our regional walks tend to be in Norfolk, although we sometimes venture further afield for our Sunday walks. Anyone from the eastern region is welcome.
Popular Walk Locations
- Norfolk Coast Path
- Thetford Forest
- Waveney Valley

Please get in touch with our Regional Contact if you are interested in joining us or want to find out more about our group or our regional walks.
We have an active Facebook page on which details of all our walks are posted along with a photo record of most of them.
Our walks cover a wide range of landscapes across East Anglia:
- Norfolk Broads
- Coastal paths and beach walks
- Woodland routes
- Historic villages and countryside
- Occasional trips further afield
Walks are friendly, inclusive, and suitable for a wide range of abilities. Members often share transport, and some walks are arranged to use public transport.
