What’s my ‘Relevant Income’?
To calculate your subscription, work out your weekly or monthly relevant income and check your band in the table above.
How to work out your relevant income
- Include all income from all sources — wages, benefits, child benefit, tax credits, savings interest, rent from lodgers/sub‑tenants.
- Include housing benefit up to £75/week (£325/month).
- Deduct tax and National Insurance only (not pensions, SAYE, mortgage repayments, etc.).
- One parent/carer per family may deduct £20/week (£87/month) for dependents.
- If income varies, total the last 3 months and divide by 13 (weekly) or 3 (monthly).
- Then find your band and your annual membership charge.
